The Advanced Working Test 2 builds upon the foundation established in AWT 1, introducing more complex scenarios and higher expectations for precision and control. Dogs at this level must demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to assess threat levels appropriately, and flawless obedience under high-stress conditions.
The dog must demonstrate the ability to assess and prioritize multiple potential threats simultaneously. This includes identifying the primary threat while maintaining awareness of secondary concerns. The handler will direct engagement while the dog must show intelligent threat discrimination.
Building on AWT 1, this scenario introduces more dynamic elements including movement, environmental distractions, and varied threat presentations. The dog must maintain protective positioning while adapting to changing circumstances and handler commands.
Upon successful completion, your dog earns the AWT2 title, qualifying for the final AWT 3 championship level.
