The Advanced Working Test 1 marks the beginning of elite-level protection training assessment. This test evaluates the dog's ability to perform advanced protection behaviors with precision and control. Dogs must demonstrate heightened alertness, controlled aggression on command, and the ability to disengage immediately when instructed by the handler.
The dog must demonstrate controlled protective behavior when presented with a simulated threat. The handler will command the dog to engage, and the dog must respond immediately and appropriately. Upon the handler's command, the dog must disengage and return to a calm state.
The dog will be evaluated on its natural protective instincts toward the handler in a controlled scenario. The dog must show appropriate alertness and positioning without excessive aggression. The handler's ability to direct and control the dog throughout is critical.
Upon successful completion, your dog earns the AWT1 title, qualifying for AWT 2.
