The Advanced Working Test 3 represents the highest level of working certification offered by the IABBR. This test is designed to evaluate elite protection dogs that have demonstrated mastery through all previous levels. Dogs at this level must exhibit exceptional control, intelligent decision-making, and the ability to perform under the most challenging conditions while maintaining absolute obedience to their handler.
The ultimate test of protection ability. The dog must navigate a complex, multi-phase scenario that combines all skills from previous levels. This includes threat assessment, controlled engagement, handler protection, and strategic disengagement. The scenario includes environmental challenges, multiple decoys, and requires split-second decision making.
The final evaluation tests the dog's ability to maintain perfect obedience while under extreme distraction and stress. This includes recall from active engagement, position holds during provocations, and demonstration of complete handler control in all circumstances. This component confirms the dog's reliability as an elite protection companion.
Upon successful completion of AWT 3, your dog earns the prestigious AWTCh title - the highest working certification achievable through the IABBR. This title represents mastery of advanced protection work and marks your dog as an elite working Alapaha Blue-Blood Bulldog.
Achieving AWTCh represents the culmination of the IABBR working test program. Dogs that earn this title have progressed through FWAT (Foundation), BST (Breed Specific), and all three AWT levels, demonstrating excellence at every stage of their working development.
